Terms and Conditions

Introduction

Mini Makers is a creative art club for children, offering sessions for those attending school, home-educated children, and those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The aim of Mini Makers is to provide a calm, welcoming and inclusive environment where every child feels comfortable to explore their creativity, build confidence and express themselves through art.

Sessions are led by Emily Clark, an experienced workshop leader with over 7 years of experience working with children. Emily is fully DBS checked and holds safeguarding and first aid training, with a strong interest in supporting children with additional needs.

All sessions are designed to be flexible, supportive and engaging, allowing children to work at their own pace while exploring a range of creative activities including drawing, painting, craft and clay.

By booking onto a Mini Makers session, parents and carers agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Booking & Payments

Places at Mini Makers are booked either on a full school term basis or as individual sessions, depending on availability.

Term bookings are secured through monthly direct debit or a one-term payment via ClassForKids. Subscription bookings guarantee your child’s place each week.

All bookings must be made in advance through the booking system. Spaces are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis.

2. One-week Free Trial

Mini Makers offers a one-week free trial session for new children (unless booking weekly), subject to availability. Following the trial, if a place is accepted, the child will be enrolled and payments will begin via ClassForKids monthly direct debit. If the place is not taken, no payment will be required.

3. Cancellation Policy

Places at Mini Makers are booked on a full school term and secured through direct debit, a one-term payment.

If a parent or carer wishes to cancel their child’s place based on the subscription booking, this requires a one month’s notice is required. Once notice is given, the direct debit will stop from the first day of the following month after the notice period. Payments already made cannot be refunded, and the child’s place will remain active until the end of the final paid month.

Regarding the single one time bookings, this requires a 48 hour notice to be given. A full refund will be made if the notice is given in the time period. Anytime after the 48 hour period a refund can not be issued.

4. Absence Policy

As places are limited and materials are purchased in advance, refunds cannot be issued for missed sessions due to illness, holidays, or other absences.

If a session is cancelled by Mini Makers due to unforeseen circumstances, a credit or alternative session will be offered where possible.

5. Behaviour Policy

Mini Makers aims to provide a welcoming, inclusive and supportive creative environment for all children, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Sessions are designed to be flexible, calm and encouraging, allowing children to participate in a way that feels comfortable for them.

Within the Home Education group, it is understood that some children may occasionally experience moments of overwhelm, frustration, or emotional distress. If a child becomes unsettled during a session, I will always aim to support them calmly and help them re-engage where possible.

However, if a child becomes significantly distressed or finds the environment difficult to manage on a regular basis, this may be discussed with parents or carers to ensure the sessions remain a positive experience for them.

In these situations, parents or carers may choose to withdraw their child’s place through the booking system. Mini Makers reserves the right to review a child’s place if behaviour consistently impacts the safety or wellbeing of other participants.

The wellbeing of every child attending Mini Makers is always the priority, and the aim is to ensure that sessions remain a safe, comfortable and enjoyable space for all participants.
